Well, it has been a month since I started this thing, and I'm just now returning. I can't do anything with the slightest hint of regularity.

I suppose for clarity's sake I should tell a little about myself, just in case anyone other than me decides to read my rambling.

My name is Lisa. I live in a small college town in central Arkansas with my roommate, Nate, his golden retriever, Captain, and my two cats, Sam and Lola. I graduated in May with a B.A. in English, but there isn't much one can do with an English degree without a teaching license, so I'm working on that now. I'll finish student teaching next May and be prepared (I think) to educate the masses.

I managed to keep a pretty nice scholarship for four years, so I was spoiled rotten through my entire college experience with free housing, free meals, and a hefty stipend. However, those days are gone, so I work at Target to attempt to support myself while I take 12 hours of class. Retail Hell isn't paying me enough, though, so I'm about to start a second job at Blockbuster, where I used to work. Two jobs and 12 hours of class won't leave me much time for anything else.

In the spare time I do have, I'm almost always with my friends. There are quite a few interesting characters in my life. Most of my good friends are guys, with a couple of exceptions--for some reason, I've always related more to guys than to girls, and I usually seem to get along with them better. They're obnoxious and unhygenic at times, but I love them anyway.

There isn't much to say about myself. I'll probably reveal a lot to you unintentionally just from what I decide to talk about.

I'm out of class for the week and off work until Saturday morning. Time to go find something cheap and exciting to do.
